Worship with drug addicts, a week of holiday with family, powerful conversations about God with total strangers, and continual growth in my ministry! This months has had a mix of everything.
My two lovely grandmothers, Virginia and Anne, accompanied by my rocking cousin Nichelle crossed oceans and outback just to visit me! I gave them the grand tour of YWAM Perth and my everyday life along with several other exciting parts of Perth. They gifted me with covering all the costs of dining out and even flew me to Sydney for a quick touring adventure! Needless to say, I was beyond blessed. I used one of my weeks of leave from ministry and made quite a few memories.
The rest of my time these past several weeks has been spent actively trusting God for breakthrough in the city of Perth. Currently, my ministry and I have been working here in Perth, Australia. We travel to specific communities where we worship, cry out to God, and take action in whatever He leads us to do.
Sometimes this involves praying for total strangers at a bus station, times of worship on a Friday night in midst of the of the intoxicated and strung out nightclub district, or having a time of intensive (but still discrete) prayer outside of community rehabilitation centres.
Every other Friday, we partner with a local church that happens to be in the very heart of Perth’s central business district. With a sound system, the perfect platform, and the partnership with several other YWAM Perth ministry teams, we are able to present powerful times of worship, heart wrenching dramas, and powerful testimonies of God’s grace. The business of the city is interrupted for a moment by beauty and truth, and passersby are drawn in by their own seeking heart.
God does not confine Himself to work wholly inside technical ministry categories. Thank goodness! I have had so many opportunities to share my Hope even in my own day-to-day life. Walking home from the grocery store, waiting for the train, you name it. Times to share a testimony of God’s provision or to share parts of my journey with Him. And I pray that this blesses them as much as it actually blesses me.
God is forever working through and in us…this is a fact I continue to believe.
He whispers new and old words- always full of grace and hope and tenderness.
I like to think of myself as a little plant that grows bit by bit, one day at a time. I think God is a pretty trustworthy gardener as well, considering the fact that he created the universe and all.
So just keep on growing… and I will too.
As always, I would love to hear from any and all! I would love to have the opportunity to share on a more personal level as well as to know of any way I can be praying for you.

Thanks for sticking with me and for all the encouragement!
