Here we are nearing the close of April. So much has happened in a short amount of time. My ministry team, Worship For the Nations, is growing constantly in numbers and also in opportunities to serve. Every three months, our leaders listen to God and hear what He wants our schedule to look like (which is pretty exciting and full of a lot of possibilities when you consider the fact that He is God of the universe haha).
Currently, God has spoken for us to partner with two Youth With a Mission ministries here in Perth, a local church, and a church network within the Philippines.
The word “partner” accurately describes our relationship with other ministries. As intercessors, worship leaders, researchers, and (most importantly) people who seek the Lord’s heart, Worship For the Nations functions to come alongside and empower what God is already doing.
For the ministry Homes of Hope that we are currently working with, this means that we join and champion their fight for more homes to be built in developing nations. With The Resting Place, we are pushing in prayer for the opening of a home for at risk girls from ages 14-18. In the Perth city, God has commissioned us to go into the hard places- the inner city with frequent burglary, drug use, violence, and general brokenness. This looks like times of worship out in the open, inviting the Holy Spirit to fall on the place and situation, Spirit lead evangelism, and sharing our personal testimony of God’s goodness. In Manila, we are continuing to partner with MegaCities to see the transformation of a whole city as we partner with local churches to see the lost and needy reached & the gospel proclaimed.
My days are filled with intercession in locations all around Perth City, evangelism, worship, receiving teaching, and research.
Research! Who knew that my love for writing and solving mysteries would one day come in handy? We cannot help when we do not know the need. Research finds the need, the people, the place, the community, the weak points, the strong points, the history, etc. Compiling this information in a way that communicates an accurate profile of a country, city, or suburb acts as a ministry opportunity simply waiting for someone to take it.
Oh, yes. There is much to do and much to think- both inside and outside of ministry. All the while, my God reigns with kindness and a sure hand in my life. Australian autumn days. Colors changing, weather shifting, sunlight slipping away. My heart here lately has been on quite the journey as I face hard things as well as embrace new freedom.
current support: Great news! I already have 11 days oust of 30 with monthly sponsors at $20 per day! Still trusting for a few more, but God is surely moving!
