We live this life in search of healing.
Healing for others. Healing for ourselves. A Holy desire. A broken desire. A needed desire.
As deep as my heart yearns for the healing of the nations, I have discovered God desires my own healing.
That’s is how I came to step out of ministry for a time, although it hurt to do so.
But sometimes hurting is part of healing.
For the last two months, I have been tucked away from the world in America’s Midwest for that very purpose.
Together with other women braver than the most tried warriors, I have been rediscovering what it means to freely live the life God has given me.
It’s a journey not unlike trying to hike the entire Appalachian trail in one go.
But I’ve heard it’s worth the view.
I’m not there yet. But I believe “there” exists. I believe the Way exists.
And what better day to remember our need for deep freedom than the Fourth.
So here’s to freedom.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
